How Parent mode works
One admin account (the parent) manages one or more kid accounts. Each kid account:
- Has its own set of blocked sites, app limits, and Downtime schedule
- Has its own activity timeline and report delivery
- Cannot change settings (admin PIN required)
- Can request Pause from the parent by email
Setup flow
- Run the wizard, pick Parent mode.
- Set up the admin account (you).
- Add a kid account: name, optional email for the kid, and their age/role.
- Configure restrictions for the kid (blocks, limits, Downtime).
- Enable screenshots and weekly reports if you want visibility.
Per-kid configuration
Switch between kid accounts on the Home tab. Each kid's My Rules page is independent — what's blocked for one isn't automatically blocked for another.
Pause approvals by email
When a kid taps Request Pause, the parent gets an email with:
- Who requested (kid name)
- Reason they typed
- Duration requested
- Approve / Deny buttons
Click a button. Within ~60 seconds, the action executes on the kid's machine.
Weekly reports
Weekly email to the parent with:
- Activity timeline per kid
- Top apps and domains
- Rules broken count and list
- Optional: screenshot collage
Transparency matters. Focus isn't stealthware. Tell your kids it's running, what it does, and why. Restrictions work better when kids understand them, not when they feel surveilled.
Multiple kids
Add as many kid accounts as you need. Each gets an independent setup. Pro / Premium recommended for households with multiple kids since each may want different Downtime slots.
