The wizard walks you through
- Create your admin account. Name, email (for reports and PIN recovery), and a 4-digit PIN.
- Pick a mode. Self (disciplining yourself), Parent (kid accounts), or Employee (track working hours).
- Add your first user. If you picked Self, it's just you. Parent mode creates a kid account. Employee mode sets your working schedule.
- Add your first blocks. Focus asks for 3–5 sites you want blocked. Common starts:
youtube.com,twitter.com,reddit.com. - Set one downtime window. Free tier gives one slot. Try 22:00–07:00 to test the lock screen.
- Enable email reports (optional). Daily, weekly, and monthly options. They come from
[email protected].
Start small. Don't block everything on day one. Block one app you reach for too often, live with it for a week, then expand. Otherwise you'll bypass it all.
What's on the dashboard after setup
The Home tab shows every user with their current-session stats and a “View Activity” button. My Rules lets admins configure restrictions per user. My Usage is your own (or the selected user's) activity timeline.
