What the PIN protects
- Changing any restriction (block sites, app limits, downtime)
- Disabling Focus temporarily
- Pause restrictions requests
- Deleting screenshots
- Uninstalling Focus
- Editing user accounts
Setting it up
The PIN is created during first-run setup. You can change it later from Admin Details on the sidebar. Changing requires the current PIN.
Choosing a PIN
Don't use an obvious PIN.
1234, your birth year, or 0000 defeat the purpose. Use a random 4-digit number you're unlikely to remember on impulse — the whole point is that future-you, at 11pm trying to open YouTube, can't bypass past-you.
If you forget it
Email [email protected] from the email tied to your license. We'll verify identity (license key, purchase date) and issue a reset token that you can use once from the app.
PIN for kid / employee users
Kid and employee users don't have their own PIN — only the admin account does. Kids can request a pause via email; the admin approves (or not) from their inbox.
