What it does
When enabled, the time-up lock screen offers a biometric option alongside the PIN entry. Tap the fingerprint icon, scan, unlock. No PIN typing needed for enrolled users.
Enabling biometric
- Open Kaizen Timer.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Toggle Biometric unlock ON.
- Enter your PIN to confirm.
- Kaizen Timer uses whichever biometric auth Android has set up on your device — typically fingerprint or face.
Who can unlock biometrically?
Android's biometric enrollment. Whoever's fingerprints or face data are registered on the phone can unlock Kaizen Timer's lock screen. For a family setup, typically the parent's biometrics.
If your kid's fingerprint is enrolled on the phone, they can unlock Kaizen Timer biometrically. For strict setups: either remove their enrolled biometrics from Android settings, or disable biometric unlock in Kaizen Timer.
Fallback
If biometric fails (dirty finger, face mask, etc.), the PIN entry is always available as fallback. You can't get locked out of your own phone just because the scanner had a bad read.
Disabling biometric
Same path — Settings → toggle off. Requires the current PIN.
