How to delete pages from a PDF

Removing pages from a PDF takes seconds, and everything happens right here in your browser:

  1. Add your PDF. Drag a PDF onto the drop zone above, or click Choose PDF to pick one. The tool reads it locally and shows a thumbnail of every page.
  2. Mark the pages to remove. Click any page thumbnail to mark it with a red X, or type the pages in the box, such as 2, 5-7, 10. The clicks and the text box stay in sync, and a counter shows how many pages remain.
  3. Delete & download. Click Delete pages & download. The tool builds a brand-new PDF that keeps only the pages you didn't mark and downloads it — privately. Your PDF was never uploaded; the whole operation ran on your own device.

Why remove pages from a PDF

Private and offline by design

Most online "delete pages from PDF" sites upload your document to their servers to process it. This one doesn't. It uses the open-source PDF.js engine to render page thumbnails and pdf-lib to rebuild your PDF — copying only the pages you keep — directly in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works. For heavier, repeatable jobs on Windows — editing the text inside a PDF, merging and splitting documents, running OCR on scans, or processing folders of files in bulk — try Kaizen OCR & PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Delete Pages from PDF tool free?

Yes — completely free and unlimited, with no signup and no watermarks. It runs locally in your browser, so you can remove pages from as many PDFs as you like.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF never leaves your device and is never sent to any server, which keeps confidential documents fully private.

How do I delete pages from a PDF?

Add your PDF, then click the page thumbnails you want to remove so they are marked with an X, or type the pages in the box, such as 2, 5-7, 10. Click Delete pages & download to get a new PDF that keeps only the pages you did not mark.

Does deleting pages reduce the PDF file size?

Usually yes. The tool builds a brand-new PDF containing only the pages you keep, so anything that lived only on the removed pages is left out and the file is typically smaller.

Can I remove all the pages?

No. A PDF needs at least one page, so the tool always keeps at least one page and will warn you if your selection would delete every page.

Can it delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs must have the password removed first — the Kaizen OCR & PDF app for Windows can do that — after which you can delete pages here.
