Scheduling

The scheduling feature lets you run automations at specific times and on specific days. Configure Auto Mouse Click to start and stop automatically based on a weekly schedule.

How Scheduling Works

You create one or more schedules that define:

  • Which action to run (mouse movement, clicks, keyboard, etc.)
  • What days of the week to run
  • What time to start
  • What time to stop (or run for a specific duration)

Auto Mouse Click handles the rest, starting and stopping the automation according to your schedule.

Creating a Schedule

  1. Open Auto Mouse Click settings.
  2. Navigate to Features > Scheduling.
  3. Click Add Schedule.
  4. Configure the schedule:
    • Name -- Give the schedule a descriptive name
    • Action -- Select which automation to run
    • Days -- Check the days of the week (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.)
    • Start time -- Time to begin (e.g., 8:00 AM)
    • End time -- Time to stop (e.g., 5:00 PM)
  5. Click Save.

Schedule Examples

Schedule Name Action Days Start End
Work hours keep-awake Keep PC Awake Mon-Fri 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
Morning mouse move Mouse Movement Mon-Fri 8:30 AM 9:00 AM
Dashboard rotation Browser Tab Change Mon-Fri 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Weekend backup Keyboard Action Sat 2:00 AM 2:30 AM

Multiple Schedules

Create as many schedules as needed. They run independently and can overlap. For example:

  • Schedule 1: Mouse movement all day
  • Schedule 2: App switching during business hours
  • Schedule 3: Keep-awake in the evening

Auto-Start Required

For schedules to work when you are not actively using the computer, Auto Mouse Click must be set to start with Windows. Enable this in Settings > General > Start with Windows.

Managing Schedules

Enable/Disable

Toggle individual schedules on or off without deleting them. Disabled schedules are saved but do not execute.

Edit

Modify any aspect of a schedule (days, times, action) by clicking Edit.

Delete

Remove a schedule permanently by clicking Delete.

Notifications

When a scheduled action starts or stops, Auto Mouse Click can optionally display a notification. Configure notifications in Settings > Notifications.

Testing Schedules

Test a new schedule by setting it to start a few minutes in the future. Watch it activate to verify it works correctly before relying on it for unattended operation.

System Requirements

  • The computer must be turned on (not hibernating or shut down) at the scheduled time
  • Auto Mouse Click must be running (enabled in startup)
  • The user account must be logged in (unless running as a service)
