Can I use one license on multiple computers?¶
Each license covers one computer. If you need Auto Mouse Click on multiple machines, you need a separate license for each. Contact [email protected] for volume discounts on 5 or more licenses.
Can I transfer my license to a different computer?¶
Yes. Deactivate on the old computer (from the About/License menu), then activate on the new computer with the same license key. If the old computer is no longer accessible, contact support for a manual deactivation.
Detection and Compatibility¶
Will auto-clicking be detected by applications?¶
Auto Mouse Click simulates real mouse input at the operating system level using standard Windows APIs. To most applications, the automated clicks are indistinguishable from manual clicks. However:
Detection Considerations
- Some anti-cheat software in online games (e.g., Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye) may detect automated input. Use at your own risk in competitive online games.
- Enterprise security software may log automation tool usage.
- Some websites with bot detection (CAPTCHAs, Cloudflare) may flag automated interactions.
Auto Mouse Click is designed for legitimate automation tasks. Always comply with the terms of service of the applications you use it with.
Does it work with games?¶
Yes, it works with most games, especially:
- Idle/clicker games (Cookie Clicker, Clicker Heroes, etc.)
- Single-player games with repetitive clicking
- Browser-based games
- Windowed or borderless windowed games
Limitations:
- Full-screen exclusive games may not receive simulated input from some automation methods.
- Online competitive games with anti-cheat may detect and ban automated input.
- Some games capture mouse input directly at a low level, bypassing standard Windows input.
Windowed Mode
If Auto Mouse Click does not work with a full-screen game, try switching the game to Windowed or Borderless Windowed mode in the game's display settings.
Does it work with all Windows applications?¶
Yes, in nearly all cases. Auto Mouse Click works with:
- All standard Windows desktop applications
- All web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Adobe applications (Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.)
- Remote desktop applications (works on the local side)
- Most games (see above for exceptions)
The only applications it may not work with are those that use custom low-level input handling or run with elevated privileges when Auto Mouse Click is running without elevation.
Features¶
Can I schedule automation to start at a specific time?¶
Yes. Auto Mouse Click includes a built-in scheduler:
- Go to Schedule settings.
- Set a start time (e.g., 2:00 PM).
- Optionally set a stop time (e.g., 5:00 PM).
- Click Apply.
The automation will start and stop automatically at the specified times. See Click Automation for more details.
Does it support multiple monitors?¶
Yes. Auto Mouse Click fully supports multi-monitor setups:
- Mouse movement can span all connected displays.
- Fixed position clicks can target coordinates on any monitor.
- Screen boundaries can be set to a specific monitor or across all monitors.
- The Pick tool works on all monitors to capture coordinates.
Coordinates use the Windows virtual screen system. The primary monitor starts at (0,0), and secondary monitors extend the coordinate space (e.g., a monitor to the left might start at (-1920, 0)).
Can I save and load automation profiles?¶
Yes. Save your complete automation configuration (click settings, movement paths, intervals, recordings) as a profile file:
- File > Save Profile to save the current configuration.
- File > Open Profile to load a saved configuration.
- Profiles are saved as
.amcfiles that you can share, back up, or transfer between computers.
Does it support keyboard automation too?¶
Auto Mouse Click focuses on mouse automation. While it can simulate some keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+Tab for tab cycling, Alt+Tab for app switching), it is not a full keyboard automation tool. For comprehensive keyboard and mouse automation, consider combining Auto Mouse Click with a dedicated macro tool.
Can I record and play back complex sequences?¶
Yes. The recording feature captures:
- Mouse movements (path, speed, timing)
- Mouse clicks (type, position)
- Delays between actions
You can then play back the recording exactly as performed, loop it a specific number of times, or loop infinitely. See First Automation for a recording walkthrough.
Technical¶
Does Auto Mouse Click slow down my computer?¶
No. Auto Mouse Click is extremely lightweight:
| Resource | Usage |
|---|---|
| CPU | Less than 0.5% average |
| RAM | 20--50 MB |
| Disk | 10 MB installation |
| Network | None (no internet required after activation) |
It has no noticeable impact on system performance, even on older hardware.
Does it require an internet connection?¶
Only for license activation. After activation, Auto Mouse Click works entirely offline. No internet connection is needed for any automation features.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?¶
No. Auto Mouse Click is available for Windows only (Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11). There are no Mac or Linux versions.
Does it work on remote desktop (RDP) sessions?¶
Auto Mouse Click works on the local machine. When connected via Remote Desktop:
- It works on the local computer that you are physically using.
- It can work within an RDP window (the remote desktop session displayed in a window on your local machine).
- It does not work if you disconnect from an RDP session and expect it to run on the remote machine (because there is no active display session).
Does it require administrator rights?¶
No. Auto Mouse Click can be installed and run without administrator privileges. The portable version requires no installation at all. However, if you need to automate clicks in an application that runs with administrator privileges, you may need to run Auto Mouse Click as administrator as well.
Troubleshooting¶
Auto-clicking is not working in my application. What should I do?¶
- Ensure the target application is in the foreground (active window).
- If the target app runs as administrator, try running Auto Mouse Click as administrator too (right-click > Run as administrator).
- Switch the target app to Windowed mode if it is running full-screen.
- Verify the click coordinates are correct using the Pick tool.
- Increase the interval -- some apps cannot process very fast clicks.
The hotkey does not work.¶
- Check that the hotkey is not used by another application.
- Try a different key combination (e.g., F6, Ctrl+Shift+F1).
- Ensure Auto Mouse Click is running (check the system tray).
- If the target application captures global hotkeys, try a different key combination.
Mouse movement is jittery or erratic.¶
- Disable Jitter if enabled, to see if that resolves the issue.
- Reduce the movement speed.
- Ensure no other mouse automation tools are running simultaneously.
- Check for mouse driver issues or update your mouse driver.
The application crashes or freezes.¶
- Update to the latest version from kaizen-apps.com.
- Try the portable version instead of the installed version.
- Run as administrator.
- If the issue persists, contact [email protected] with your Windows version and a description of the problem.
