Batch Conversion¶
Batch conversion lets you process multiple texts into audio files in a single operation. This is ideal for producing large volumes of audio content efficiently.
When to Use Batch Conversion¶
- Creating audio for an entire e-book chapter by chapter
- Generating voiceovers for a series of videos
- Producing multilingual versions of the same content
- Processing a queue of text files into audio
How to Use Batch Conversion¶
Step 1: Prepare Your Texts¶
Organize your texts into separate entries. You can:
- Import text files -- Load multiple
.txtfiles at once by selecting them in the file browser - Add entries manually -- Click Add to create new text entries one at a time
- Paste from clipboard -- Paste multiple texts separated by a delimiter
Step 2: Configure Voice Settings¶
For each entry in the batch, you can set:
- Voice -- Choose a different voice for each text or apply the same voice to all
- Speed and pitch -- Adjust individually per entry or apply uniform settings
- Output format -- Select MP3, WAV, or OGG for each file
Apply to All
Use the Apply to All button to set the same voice, speed, and format across all entries in the batch. You can then adjust individual entries as needed.
Step 3: Set Output Options¶
- Output folder -- Choose where the generated files will be saved
- Naming convention -- Select automatic naming (sequential numbers) or use the source file names
Step 4: Start Batch Processing¶
Click Start Batch to begin processing. Speech Studio will convert each text entry sequentially, showing:
- Overall progress (X of Y files completed)
- Current file being processed
- Estimated time remaining

Step 5: Review Results¶
Once complete, a summary shows:
- Total files processed
- Any errors or failures
- Output folder location
Processing Time
Batch processing time depends on the number and length of texts, your internet connection speed, and the Azure service response time. Plan accordingly for large batches.
Error Handling¶
If a file fails during batch processing, Speech Studio will:
- Log the error
- Skip to the next file
- Report all failures in the summary
You can retry failed files individually or re-run them as a separate batch.
