Video Download¶
Speech Studio includes a built-in video download tool that lets you save online videos to your computer. This is particularly useful for video dubbing workflows where you need to download a video before replacing its audio track.
How to Download a Video¶
- Open the Video Download tab from the main navigation.
- Paste the video URL into the URL input field.
- Select quality and format -- Choose your preferred resolution and file format from the available options.
- Click Download -- The video is saved to your designated output folder.
Supported Sources¶
Speech Studio can download videos from a wide range of online platforms and direct video URLs. If the URL points to a publicly accessible video, the downloader should be able to retrieve it.
Respect Copyright
Only download videos that you have the right to use. Ensure you have permission from the copyright holder before downloading and modifying any video content. Kaizen Apps is not responsible for any misuse of the download feature.

Integration with Video Dubbing¶
The video download feature works seamlessly with the Video Dubbing feature:
- Download a video using the Video Download tool
- Switch to the Video Dubbing tab
- The downloaded video is automatically available for import
- Add your voiceover script and generate the dubbed version
Workflow Tip
If you are dubbing multiple videos, download them all first, then process them in sequence through the dubbing tool. This keeps your workflow organized and efficient.
Troubleshooting Downloads¶
- Download fails -- Check that the URL is correct and the video is publicly accessible
- Slow speeds -- Download speed depends on your internet connection and the source server
- Format not available -- Some sources only offer limited quality options
