Conversion History¶
Speech Studio keeps a record of all your text-to-speech conversions, making it easy to revisit, replay, or re-export previous audio files without regenerating them.
Accessing History¶
Click the History tab in the main interface to view your conversion log. Each entry shows:
- Date and time of the conversion
- Text preview -- The first few words of the original text
- Voice used -- The AI voice that was selected
- Duration -- Length of the generated audio
- File format -- The output format (MP3, WAV, OGG)

What You Can Do with History¶
Replay Audio¶
Click any entry to load it. Press Play to listen to the audio without needing to regenerate it.
Re-Export¶
If you need the same audio in a different format or want to save another copy, select the entry and click Export. Choose a new file format or location.
Re-Edit and Regenerate¶
Select a history entry and click Edit to load the original text back into the editor. This is useful when you want to:
- Make small corrections to the text
- Try a different voice with the same content
- Adjust speed or pitch settings
Workflow Efficiency
Use history as a way to iterate on your projects. Generate a first draft, review it, then go back and adjust specific sections rather than starting from scratch each time.
Delete Entries¶
To remove a history entry, select it and click Delete. This removes the record and any locally cached audio for that conversion.
Storage¶
History data is stored locally on your computer. Audio files are cached in the Speech Studio application data folder. If disk space is a concern, you can clear the cache from Settings > Clear History Cache while keeping the text records intact.
History Limits
There is no hard limit on the number of history entries. However, if you generate thousands of conversions, the cached audio files may consume significant disk space. Periodically review and clean up entries you no longer need.
