PDF Add Password¶
The Add Password feature allows you to protect your PDF files with secure password encryption. Simply add your PDF, enter and confirm your password, choose the encryption level, and click Start to lock your document safely.
You can select different encryption strengths for better security and save protected PDFs directly to a chosen folder. This feature helps keep sensitive documents private and prevents unauthorized access.

Step-by-Step Guide¶
Step 1: Open PDF Add Password¶
From the Kaizen OCR dashboard, click on the PDF Add Password tile.
Step 2: Add Your PDF¶
Click the file browser button or drag & drop your PDF file into the application.
Step 3: Select Your PDF¶
Choose the PDF file you want to protect with a password.
Step 4: Configure Password Settings¶
Enter your desired password, confirm it, and select the encryption strength level. Choose an output folder for the protected PDF.
Step 5: Start Encryption¶
Click the Start button to encrypt the PDF with your chosen password.
Step 6: Confirmation¶
The password-protected PDF will be saved to your specified folder. A confirmation message will indicate successful encryption.
Encryption Levels¶

Remember Your Password
Make sure to remember or securely store your password. If you lose the password, you will need the original unprotected file to access the document.
