Rotate¶

The Crop & Deskew feature automatically fixes tilted or misaligned images and removes unwanted borders to make documents clean and ready for OCR. Simply add your image, enable Auto-Deskew and Auto-Crop, then click Start to straighten and align the document instantly.

You can also adjust settings like maximum skew angle, output size, and image positioning to get perfectly optimized results. This feature improves readability and helps achieve more accurate OCR extraction from scanned or photographed documents.

Best Used Before OCR

Run Crop & Deskew on your images before using Easy OCR or Advanced OCR to significantly improve text recognition accuracy.

Step-by-Step Guide¶

Step 1: Open Crop / Deskew / Rotate¶

From the Kaizen OCR dashboard, click on the Crop / Deskew / Rotate tile.

Step 2: Add Your Image¶

Click the file browser button or drag & drop your image into the application.

Step 3: Select Your Image¶

Choose the image file you want to process from the file dialog.

Step 4: Start Processing¶

Enable the desired options (Auto-Deskew, Auto-Crop) and adjust settings as needed. Click Start to process the image.

Step 5: View Results¶

The corrected image will be displayed with the tilt fixed and borders removed. Save the output for further processing or OCR.
